Government of Singapore Fully Funded Scholarships
The PhD training in English for the Government of Singapore Fully Funded Scholarships (SINGA) will be conducted in the laboratory of your choice at ASTAR, NTU, NUS, SUTD or SMU research institutes. Students will be supervised by distinguished and internationally known researchers in these laboratories. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a PhD by NTU, NUS, SUTD or SMU. The Singapore International Graduate Scholarship is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (ASTAR), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Singapore Management University (SMU).
Benefits of Government of Singapore Scholarship
- Full tuition fees.
- A monthly stipend of S$2000.
- The salary will be increased to S$2,500 after passing the qualification exam.
- Air travel grant of up to 1,500 Singapore dollars.
- Settlement allowance of S$1,000.
Eligibility
- Available to apply for all international graduates with a passion for research and academic outcomes.
- Good English language skills both spoken and written.
- Good reports from academic referees.

2. Documents Required
Do prepare the following documents in advance before applying.
Note: Do NOT mail any hard copy documents to SINGA Office. All necessary documents are to be submitted online.
a. Valid Passport
b. A recent passport-sized photo (in .jpeg or .png format)
3.Transcripts & Reports
ALL transcripts need to be in English translation
Mandatory
Academic transcripts of a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree.
Bachelor’s degree certificate(s) / scroll(s) or certificate letter from the university regarding your candidacy if the certificate/pass has not yet been awarded.
2 Recommendation reports (to be completed and submitted online by the referees).
Optional
GRE / IELTS / TOEFL / SAT I & II / GATE results. However, do note that you may be requested by the university to submit satisfactory scores as part of the university admission requirement.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
a. The information will be used for verification when you first log in. Therefore you must ensure that the information you provide while registering the account in the application portal is accurate.
b. In the application portal after logging in please ensure that you apply for the correct scholarship – Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA).
c. Please do not mail any typed documents to the Senga office.
d. This should provide ample time for references to submit their recommendation reports online before the application deadline, so please submit your applications as soon as possible. Only applications containing two recommendation reports will be processed.
